"Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy". Sai Baba This piece is made from various medias including acrylic and oil paint for the main painting. I used handwoven silk from Thailand which adds a lot of softness and charm whilst the genuine SWAROVSKI crystals and vintage mirrors add a fantastic outburst of colour, encompassing and reflecting the days light to create a room full of sparkling colours. The bed which the mandala is lying in is made with 24 carat gold leaf.

The colour blue represents both the sky and the sea. I wanted you to experience a feeling of freedom and pure energy. Blue is also connected to intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, confidence and sensitivity.

Materials: Acrylic and oil paint. 24 karat gold leaf, Swarovski crystals.

Shades of Blue

I feel very drawn to the colour blue as its the frequency is one of communication. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence which is also evident in the structure of the design.

Materials: Acrylic and oil paints, 24 karat gold leaf, Swarovski crystals and mosaic mirrors.

Size: 1 m x 1 m.

Love Mandala

"Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead". Oscar Wilde

The heart Chakra is the centre of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, generosity, kindness, and respect. This is the reason why I was drawn to add this powerful symbol to my painting. Whilst creating this piece I felt only loving energy.

Materials: Acrylic and oil paints, 24 carat gold leaf, silver leaf, Swarovski crystals and 100% thai silk

A Taste of Summer

“Smell the sea, and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.” Van Morrison

I totally agree with this quote as this is the what I felt whilst creating this piece. This painting was made for the summer.

This painting was inspired by my summer snorkling trip. I was lucky enough to experience a beautiful summer in the clear fresh sea and met some beautiful fish. I wanted this painting to express the freshness and clarity I felt when I plunged into the water.

Floral Dreams

"Learn how to see it. Realise that everything connects to everything" Leonardo da Vinci

This piece really excited me as the technique I used was completely new to me. I wanted to create a dreamy effect with the Flower of Life emerging from the background.

Materials: Acrylic and oil paints. The crystals are genuine Swarovski crystals which add a rainbow effect when the light hits them, 24 carat gold leaf, turquoise semi precious gemstone known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures. Strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and connection to the spirit world.

Size: 1 m x 1 m

Something drew me to this symbol and I found out that the 'Aum’ sounded in tonoscope (an instrument used to create patterns corresponding to different sounds) creates a geometric pattern much similar to that of Sri Yantra. I thought Wow, I have to include this in my painting to give the piece maximum power.

Materials: Acrylic, oil, Swarovski crystals, 24 karat gold leaf, mosaic mirrors and beads.

Size: 1 m x 1 m

Flower of Life Silk

“The flower of life image is a powerful symbol and is the basic cellular geometry of all life; everything evolves out of this geometric pattern. It is essentially the creation pattern of everything in existence.” Nassim Haramein.

A unique, one of a kind piece of art made from individual cut out handwoven silk petals and delicately placed genuine Swarovski crystals on a pyramid of dyed wooden beads to create this spiritual Flower of Life.

Beautiful colourful floral Swarovski crystals are also dancing around the centre maintaining the geometrical harmony. Acrylic paint is used to create a water colour effect background with Indian Shisha mirrors decorating the edges.

Flower of Life Mandala

"A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love". Max Muller

This painting is made with a lot of love and patience. I really enjoyed the whole process and after each session I felt like I became "a dot".

Materials: Acrylic paint.

Size: 80 cms x 80 cms

When I created this piece my mother was very present in my heart. In the centre is a large camp fire (symbolises togetherness or breast) and sitting round the fire are people which is a symbol of togetherness. Surrouding the family are lizards (a symbol of regeneration) and snakes (represent healing, transformation, life changes).

All of these symbols are significant as my mother was suffering from breast cancer and thankfully she is 100% healed. The amazing thing is that I was not aware of what these symbols meant, until I researched the meaning afterwards. This is really where you see the true power of creating a mandala. Each mandala is a photograph or mirror of what your soul is really feeling.

Galaxy Mandala

"Things are as they are. Looking out into it the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations". Alan Watts.

This galaxy mandala took me into space whilst creating it. The centre is full of vibrant green which is a colour connected to love. I believe that if every action we do stems from real love and respect we will shine.

Materials: Acrylic paint, oil paints, air brush.

Inhale, Exhale, Let Go

"Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love". Mother Teresa

This painting is created with love and acrylic paints. The "o" has the heart chakra symbol painted inside. When the heart chakra is open, you may feel being deeply connected, the harmonious exchange of energy with all that is around you, and the appreciation of beauty. However, when there’s a blockage in the heart chakra, you may experience difficulties in your relating with others, such as excessive jealousy, codependency, or being closed down, withdrawn.

"You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body". ~C.S. Lewis

The "o" has the crown chakra symbol painted inside. The crown or the seventh chakra is located at the top of the head. Just as the Root or First Chakra connects us to the Mother Earth, the Crown Chakra is our connection to the Universe.

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning". Albert Einstein

In the "o" is the throat chakra symbol. It is through this chakra that we manifest what we want in life. A healthy throat chakra makes your voice clear and it resonates with truth. The words are a creative expression of the honestly and trust we feel within.

This painting is made using ancient aboriginal dot painting techniques. The peace symbol is prominent in the centre radiating power to the people. I want us all to reconnect with ourselves, one another and realise we are all connected to mother nature.

Do you know those times where your life under goes major changes? A real rollercoaster? I was experiencing just that (and still am) and I needed desperately something that would cheer me up, something I could say about 'That is me, that is what I need'. And then a very good friend from the far away past (high school) pointed out to me the works by Sunsine. I looked through them and my eye fell upon a great Mandala made in Aboriginal dot style, with fresh colors jumping into the eye. And I realized 'That is me, I want that one!'

So I got into contact with Sunshine, asked if she could ship to Israel, which was no problem, so all was arranged real smooth. Now the Mandala is hanging in my living room and it gives me great joy. Besides the freshness of the colors, the more you look at it the more different shapes and figures you find, people, butterflies, swirls and probably more I haven't discovered yet. It is beautful and people who see it say what I thought: 'Eric it is you!'

Sunshine is a very talented artist and her name speaks for itself, she brings sunshine into peoples life. I feel I also got myself a new friend, not just a piece of art.

"What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue". Henri Matisse

These seven chakra symbols are vital to our health. Negative feelings hamper the spin of these chakras, resulting in sickness and disease. A chakra is a vital energy center that resides in our bodies, that is not detectable by most modern medical means.

Native American Spirit

This painting is influenced by my curiosty about Native American wisdom. The Native Americans consider the bald eagle and the golden eagle to be sacred. As eagles are the highest flying birds they were seen to be nearer to the Creator. The meaning of the Eagle symbol was to signify courage, wisdom and strength and its purpose was as the messenger to the Creator.

Opening of the Third Eye Mandala

When the Third Eye chakra is open you have good intuition and it is about insight and visualization, clairvoyance, telepathy, intuition, dreaming and imagination.

This was a very fun project for me as I love to find small treasures at the second hand market. I like to spend my time wandering through the rows of stalls and try to imagine what I can do with peoples unwanted items.

Materials: Old guitar, acrylic paints, mosaic mirrors, crystals.
